Programs

Infant

Ages 6 weeks – 18 months

At First Fruit and Alms Christian Daycare, our mission is to nurture the development of every child through the light of God’s love. As a non-profit guided by Christian principles, we focus on each child’s holistic growth, addressing their social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
Our experienced and caring educators create a nurturing environment where infants and toddlers can explore, discover and build key foundational skills through play.

Whether singing songs together, reading stories or playing pretend with dolls, our activities foster curiosity, language development and imagination. Our educators gently guide with support and prompts, tailoring their approach to each child’s unique abilities and pace of learning. In our nurturing, Christian environment, we hope these young minds will grow into compassionate and creative leaders in the future.

Toddler

Ages 18 months – 2½ years

At First Fruit and Alms Christian Daycare, our Toddler Program is designed to nurture your child’s growing independence and unique personality. We understand that toddlers are naturally curious and eager to explore the world around them. Our dedicated staff creates an engaging environment where children can thrive through small group sizes and hands-on learning opportunities.

In our program, we emphasize expressive language development and social skills, helping toddlers communicate their needs and feelings effectively. We use open-ended materials, such as blocks of various sizes, to encourage creativity and decision-making. Our teachers act as supportive play partners, guiding children through problem-solving moments and fostering resilience and confidence.

As part of preparing for preschool, we introduce potty learning at age two, ensuring a smooth transition to the next stage. Join us at First Fruit and Alms Christian Daycare, where your toddler can embark on an exciting journey of growth and discovery!

Preschool

Ages 2½ years – 4 years

Our preschool program is focused on nurturing each child’s spiritual, intellectual and social development through compassionate, play-based learning. Whether exploring God’s wonderful creation outdoors, practicing sharing and cooperation during free play, or learning about Bible stories together, students are guided to build caring friendships and demonstrate the fruits of the spirit in all they do.

Through Christ-centered lessons and activities, our teachers aim to instill a lifelong love of learning and service in each child. Creative hands-on activities like art projects, music, and interactive story time help develop important pre-academic skills. Children will be empowered to shine their light in the world by cultivating values like empathy, kindness and respect from an early age.

Junior & Senior Kindergarten

Ages 3.8 years – 6years

At First Fruit and Alms Christian Daycare, kindergarten is transformed from simple ABCs and 123s into a journey of self-discovery tailored to each child’s unique interests and abilities. We follow the Ontario kindergarten curriculum and ELECT model, where students blossom in small classes, and teachers provide individualized attention.

Our play-based program fosters a love of learning through hands-on activities like creating maps of the daycare and identifying patterns. Through engaging activities like these, children learn foundational skills like patterns, shapes, mapping, and spatial awareness. They also have the opportunity to learn French as a foundation for the future. We at the daycare also keep parents involved by sharing images and updates on their children’s activities.

With a smaller class, children thrive in a safe, supportive setting, complemented by security measures for peace of mind. Sign up today!
